Introduction

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Cinematic Trailer .

Tailoring allows players to cut and weave various pieces of cloth into armor, bags, shirts, and other cloth items. Tailors play an especially important role in guilds because they can create bags for the entire guild, provided the guild members gather the proper ingredients. Tailors are responsible for creating cloth items for cloth-armor wearing classes: Mages, Warlocks, and Priests. They occasionally make items for other classes, such as cloaks or spellthread for pants. They also make decorative shirts. Tailors are also able to make special cloth equipment which requires that the user have a high level tailoring skill in order to use the item as well as a special Tailoring Mount. While they can create a variety of items, they strangely cannot repair these items when damaged, and must still use the services of a repair vendor.

Question, I didn't know where else to put this, when you learn your 2 professions, can you "unlearn" one and change it Thx..

Wow noob.. yeah, I know ! ;0)

Go to your character page "c" and go to talents and press on your current profession and you will see a X and press it then problem solved. Make sure your not going to use the one your planning to quit again (Example: mining.) Thx :0) Hello i have one for you. I am a lvl 46 rogue human. I am tailoring and i am up to 300/300. Where do i go to get the others to tailor or do i have to be a bigger lvl to have the rest. I baan looking everywhere for the others but cant find them please help. At level 55 you can train further, and there is a trainer located in Honor Hold (for alliance) or Thrallmar (for Horde). Ty so much i was wondering lol. but super woolen bolt is hard to find
where can I get it can any1 help me out i cant think on what profession to pick but i want to go for tailoring and what is a good secong like leatherworking or something Well even with the new Cata enchants provided by Tailoring looks like Tailoring still won't have any use for tanking, kinda sucks considering every profession has some sort of upside for tanking. As of patch 4.0.3 there are currently no "NPC recipes" (dropped by monsters) to make Cataclysm gear. Currently there is only Dreamcloth gear for 359 epics (PvE), and the rest is mainly PvP gear (339 item level and lower). I wonder if they will bring out new recipes or if they will keep only the rare 7 day cooldown cloth epics. Players with a Tailoring skill of 400 or higher have a 50% chance (up from 25% due to a recent change) to find additional cloth on any mob that drops cloth. This perk appears to work on even on mobs that it isn't your "turn" to loot in group loot (i.e. dungeons). On average you will find about 3-5 extra cloth of the current level. Does anyone know what the numbers/arrow is for on the right side of the profession box I have several recipes that have a 2 or 3 and an 'up' arrow beside them. This is not only in tailoring, but my enchant, too. thanks. Why don't embroideries show up under the "Required By" tab on Wowhead I know that back in BC days Spellfire was for Mages, Shadoweave was for Warlocks, and Mooncloth was for Priests (in general). Is it still the same with Ebonweave/Spellweave/Moonshroud in terms of stats I know the specialisations were removed, it's just that I don't want to waste mats on making stuff that's no good for me while I'm levelling. This is a prof that can be used for a variety of people. I have found that mass production of shirts, and putting them o the AH makes some Gold. You would be supprised of how many people try to style up their character and realize that your tabard and breastplate cover it up. Wasted money. Like most crafting profs, you get better armor from questing. The mount is the real reward. I suggest this for anyone who has plenty of cloth in their bank and wants to make a quick buck.
Check other proffesions for suggestions on who should have which. This is a prof that can be used for a variety of people. For each of the Specialisations, the Base Cloth recipe costs 3g, 20 and Recipes are 4g, 80. I'm a Restoration paladin. My primary is enchanting. Would tailoring help me out by making gear with the stats I need Because Blacksmithing has mostly Strength and Stamina, and I can't think of a good secondary. Any opinions would be appreciated. i wouldn't recomend using cloth as a paladin. but enchanting/tailoring is a great combination since u can disenchant almost everything u make. and if u wanna take blacksmithing u should drop enchanting and take mining instead. Hi all - questionI'm an enhance shammy with LW/Inscription

I took those 2 proffs just for the profession buffs. Should I drop any of my professions for tailoring buff

~These are the cloths you need to collect to level~
From 1-75- Linen Cloth
75-125- Wool Cloth
125-175- Silk Cloth
175-250- Mageweave Cloth (as well as silk cloth until about level 205)
250-300- Runecloth
300-350- Runecloth Netherweave Cloth
350-425- Frostweave Cloth
425 - Embersilk cloth

*This can differ depending on what items you can make at a particular level.*

I was wondering why tailors can't make lvl 85 shoulders that are at least 346, I thought that maybe quartermasters would have some nice shoulder pieces, but there don't seem to be any anywhere, I don't do dungeons, as I don't care about tier stuff, can anyone tell me what are the best shoulders for cloth wearers That you can get outside of a dungeon. Thank-you:) Hey, anyone know when we get shiny new recipes I'm getting bored stockpiling my cloth/Dreamcloth. Passing the frostweave cloth requirement for getting a skill point gap is proving to be quite exhausting... so far i have had 44 stacks of frostweave and only made it with that from 350 to 403.

At this point I get 1 skill point per 8 Bolt of frostweaves meaning 1 skill point per 2 stacks of frostweave cloth.. now thats just.. bothering...

Does it make sense for a warrior to take this Since I have heard of death knights taking tailoring. This is what the Swedish guy said, thanks to Google Translate.I used this strategy: if you start and do not have high character, continue to play the highest or create something new and get to level 40-50, and throughout the playing time, not to sell any cloth you will receive and pit it in the bank; later when you get enough money for bags or have a friend tailors, creating some bags and buy al bank slots if you have money. and put all your cloth in the bank than when you think you have enough fabric to make another character and learn Tailoring with enchanting, and use all your cloth, also see what other things you need for 200 - tailoring and when you get them, put them in banking too. Short version: 1st Post new characters / continue playing your highest 2nd Get him to the 45-50 when you can get mageweave 3rd Save all fabrics and other items needed for sewing in the bank, buy all bank slots as you have money 4th Make new signs, learn Tailoring (good with enchanting) and use your carpets from bank 6th Win!

This is exactly what I used and it works!. at least for me. try it if you want and after results!

As an aside, Tailoring can be especially lucrative on RP realms like Wyrmrest Accord and Moon Guard, where people will buy lower level and vanity cloth items specifically to construct roleplay outfits for their characters, regardless of their class. what gathering profession do you take with tailoring I must say, as a swed, that the swedish translation earlier, it was probably done with Google Translator, cus it sucked. And the Swedish->English translation just made it more confusing. This profession is primarily for priest, warlocks and mages. A very good combo with enchanting because enchanting mats come form green items which can be crafted by most professions. The main advantage is you farm for cloth by finding a mob and its respawn rate and just farm. While blacksmithing and jewelcrafting require more movement. All professions. are profittable but this one involves fighting for your mats. be aware that at endgame most crafting proffesion recipes are hard to find or involve a lot of work. Gathering proffesions may be advisable for fast gold, but in the long haul once you find the recipes you can profit 1-10 k gold a day . Hopes this helps any one having trouble with deciding if this is a viable proffesion. Gold Capped at WowInsider recently posted a great guide for skilling up Tailoring relatively pain-free.

Ok all you Tailoring enthusiasts out there, I would like to know why all of us fine makers of bags; for (i.e.) Herbalists, Enchanters, Jewelcrafters all with their big beautiful 36 slot bags, and us stuck with our wonderful 22 slot Embersilk Bag, that is in such high demand because it holds anything you want in it, ( oops sorry started to RANT sorry, lol ) so that leaves us holding the bag, so to speak.. whats up with that. I would like to add another thing about bags; Dear ( WoW ) we start with a 16 slot backpack, very nice thank you for the no fee bag; But I feel, I need to add my two cents, at level 50 my bag is looking pretty tattered, and I want a new one, I am willing to pay 50 gold to up-grade my pack for, ( 4 ) extra slots. And at lvl 80, 100 gold for a ( 22 ) slot pack, and yes it's non-negotiable to wait till lvl 80 to save 50 gold for your replacement bag.. that generates a lot of gold for WoW. just think about that, but don't take to long…..thanks for your understanding : ^) 10,000.000(members)X$150 gold = $1500,000.000 gold in WoW's pockets. wow For new players, especially clothies, I strongly recommend dropping a gathering profession (probably skinning) at level 15 (when you can start running instances) and taking up tailoring. No matter where you go, humanoid mobs have a good drop rate on cloth. Someone mentioned dovetailing it with enchanting. I agree wholeheartedly. If you are a PvPer or don't run instances, then this is not all that germane, but there you have it. I pug a lot and tailoring is great for puggers. At BC level, that's when you can start consistently making gold. Buying netherweave bags is the WoW equivalent of going down the street to pick up a loaf of bread and quart of milk. Pretty much everyone leveling up goes through netherweave bags. LK and Cata level bags sell well. Specialist bags are very useful, too. Tailored items are sellable and top-level stuff goes well on the AH. Tailoring is extremely useful for PvP players, because there's always a list of decent level tailored gear to choose from. Plus there are nets that you can make. My big income producers are spellthreads and bags.

A side note is that there is a pattern that looks like blue overalls that is 'moggable. I had an acquaintance who lamented that his cartoon "wears a dress" (sheesh. get over it), so I gave him overalls to shut him up.

Please, pretty please, add a 50 slot bag in MoP! With all these transmo sets all of my illusionary bags are filled and a good amount of guild bank slots too! :( 1 - 45130 x - 260 Linen ClothStop making these if you reach Tailoring 45, and make more only if you need it.45 - 7035 x - 70 Bolt of Linen Cloth, 35 Coarse Thread70 - 755 x - 10 Bolt of Linen Cloth, 15 Coarse Thread75 - 10045 x - 135 Wool Cloth100 - 11013 x - 52 Bolt of Linen Cloth, 13 Fine Thread110 - 12515 x - 45 Bolt of Woolen Cloth, 30 Fine Thread125 - 145195 x - 780 Silk Cloth145 - 16015 x - 30 Bolt of Silk Cloth, 30 Blue Dye, 15 Fine Thread160 - 17010 x - 30 Bolt of Silk Cloth, 20 Fine Thread170 - 1755 x - 15 Bolt of Silk Cloth, 10 Bleach, 5 Fine Thread.175 - 18599 x - 396 Mageweave Cloth185 - 20015 x - 60 Bolt of Silk Cloth, 30 Fine Thread, 30 Red Dye200 - 21515 x - 60 Bolt of Silk Cloth, 30 Red Dye, 30 Silken Thread215 - 2205 x - 10 Bolt of Mageweave, 15 Silken Thread220 - 23010 x - 20 Bolt of Mageweave, 20 Heavy Silken Thread230 - 25023 x - 69 Bolt of Mageweave, 46 Heavy Silken Thread250 - 260195 x - 780 Runecloth260 - 28025 x - 75 Bolt of Runecloth, 25 Rune Thread280 - 29518 x - 90 Bolt of Runecloth, 36 Rune ThreadRecipe goes yellow at 290, get enough materials for 18.295 - 3005 x - 30 Bolt of Runecloth, 10 Rune Thread300 - 325145 x - 725 Netherweave Cloth325 - 335If you are Enchanter or you know someone who can disenchant items, make instead of .15 x - 45 Bolts of Netherweave, 30 Arcane DustThe recipe is sold by NPCs335 - 34510 x - 60 Bolts of Netherweave, 20 Knothide Leather, 10 Rune Thread345 - 3505 x - 40 Bolts of Netherweave, 10 Rune ThreadThe recipe is sold by NPCs350 - 375280 x - 1400 Frostweave Cloth375 - 3805 x - 15 Bolt of Frostweave, 5 Eternium Thread380 - 3855 x - 20 Bolt of Frostweave, 5 Eternium Thread385 - 39513 x - 65 Bolt of Frostweave, 13 Eternium Thread395 - 4005 x - 35 Bolt of Frostweave, 5 Eternium Thread400 - 40510 x - 20 Bolt of Frostweave, 20 Infinite DustMake a few if you did not reach 405.405 - 4105 x - 40 Bolt of Frostweave, 5 Eternium Thread410 - 4155 x - 45 Bolt of Frostweave, 5 Eternium Thread415 - 425Make 10 from any of the following:, , - 10 Bolt of Imbued Frostweave, 20 Eternal Life, Fire, Shadow425 - 450365 x - 1825 Embersilk ClothCheck out my Embersilk Cloth farming guide if you want to farm Embersilk Cloth.450 - 4555 x - 10 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth, 10 Eternium Thread455 - 4605 x - 15 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth, 10 Eternium ThreadYou can start making if you are planning to sell them at the Auction House.460 - 4655 x - 15 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth, 10 Eternium Thread465 - 4705 x - 15 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth, 10 Eternium Thread470 - 4755 x - 20 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth, 10 Eternium Thread475 - 4805 x - 20 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth, 10 Eternium Thread480 - 4855 x - 20 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth, 10 Eternium ThreadAs an alternative, you can make or up to 490. "Tailors can combine 30 Volatiles with 8 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth to form Dreamcloth. Tailors can substitute 4 Chaos Orb for the Volatiles", how does this work I can't do Dreamcloth with 8 Bolt of Embersilk Cloth AND 4 Chaos Orb! too bad there is only one new MOP bag... at it takes a boat load of windwool :( easiest MOP profession to level... 600 by level 87 and after only 4-5hrs of game play.... really there is no trainers on Pandaria (not the ones on starter Island) otherwise wow head list say, ..where they are please... compare to other Profession Perks:

Leatherworking:

Blacksmithing: Socket Bracer DR - If you're looking for the 1200 Ледяная ткань to level Портняжное дело you'll spend maybe 2-3 hours here (still not short, but the best I have seen). Need the 76 for Maybe 5 minutes. (Numbers based on wow-professions.)

So are they going to make bigger bag patterns for the new patch Or are we stuck with just the Embersilk bags Enchanting is a really good combo with Tailoring if you're looking for a second profession.

Is there a proffesion that goes with this I think that creators should add more BoE mounts for tailoring profession . What classes/species are best for tailoring(##RESPBREAK##)2060##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM## Why is it, at higher levels, there are far more pvp patterns This might be ok on pvp servers but the majority are pve so I think that there should be at least as many pve patterns as pvp. This applies not only to tailoring but also leather, mail and plate armour (and yes I am English so it is spelt Armour).
That's my gripe done, not that Blizz will do anything about it! A macro for those who would like for automating recipes (bolts). Simply replace "Windwool" for your tier of cloth.#showtooltip Windwool Cloth/cast Tailoring/run local spell = "Windwool Cloth"; for i=1,GetNumTradeSkills() do if GetTradeSkillInfo(i)== ("Bolt of " .. spell) then CloseTradeSkill() DoTradeSkill(i, GetItemCount(spell)/5) break end end Actually one of the best profession to make gold especially if you're on a RP realm. Shirts, bags, nice-looking items are easy to sell for a good price at the AH.

Think also about all the BoP items you can craft for your character if you yourself are a roleplayer :) (and think about all the gold you could save by crafting instead of buying gear from others players, eheh)

It would be nice on the master recipe list if wowhead listed the amount of skillup each gives when you make it, without having to view each item individually. Or is that somewhere I'm not seeing In WoW professions we now buid items that can rival the raid drop items and are far better than the dungeon drop items. They start small and can be made bigger and bigger. They all are created with what is called a . We even craft items to take another roll at the on the gear. The random enchant includes 2 of the secondary stats (giving us a measurable chance or RNG). Items for the Back (cloak), neck, neck, finger(ring), weapon, and shield, have a greater number of possibilities than other armor items, because they can contain the secondary statistics of Bonus Armor and Spirit (fortunately they do not include the combination of both those statistics ;-).

All of the items have a name in the form of " of the ". If you click on the link, it will take you to a chart with all the possible names and combinations. I wish I could add a picture here.

http://compuball.com/forum/WoWRandomEnchantment.png

Examples:

"Кованый стальной щит of the Guileful" would have Critical Strike and Bonus Armor as the

"Кираса из истинной стали of the Harmonious" would have Mastery and Versatitility as the (I think I threw up a little bit there)

Most Armor Items:

As we see from this graph, the number of possible for most armor items will be 10. So, you have a 1 in 10 (1/10 or 10%) possibility of getting just the mixture of statistics you want.

Cloaks, Necks, Rings, Shields, Weapons:

These items have an additional 2 statisctics added to the normal 4. The added statistics, as mentioned earlier, are Bonus Armor and Spirit (Tank and Healer statistics, respectively). Fortunately there is no combination of both Bonus Armor and Spirit (ever here of teats on a boar hog)

Only weapon types intended for a healing class will have the possibility of Spirit, and only weapon types intended for a tanking class will have Bonus Armor. Weapons intended for both, will have the same chances as all the jewelry, cloaks, and shields. So if it can be enchanted (by enchanting) or is a shield, it fits in this class of item.

So your chances of getting the perfect necklace with just the right two secondary statistics is 1 in 20 (1/20 or 5%). I am not certain whether Bonus Armor and Spirit have the same chance of being included. If they are given a single chance and then chosen between the two, then your chance for an item with perfect statistics not including Bonus Armor or Spirit would be 1 in 15 (1/15 or 6.67%).

I would list here all the values associated with the , however they vary depending on the slot and material. They also vary with the level of the individual wearing or looking at them. There you have it. All the possible names and combinations. All items of the same level contain the same amount of statistic, such as "54 Critical Strike" and I have not seen a crafted item with a double a statistic (only one statistic but twice the value).

EDIT: None of content, just spelling and highlighting.

Note that they just hotfixed the leveling up crafted Draenor gear to require Sumptuous Fur instead of Hexweave Cloth. They now require 50 Sumptuous Fur. Where'd it go How do you upgrade the gear level now with new patch Skinning is the gathering skill for tailoring, so if like me, you pick enchanting as your second proffession you won't be able to make some of the recipes. But as a blood elf mage this is probably the best combo. You just have to get things like light leather and etc from your guild or friends. Just dinged 100 after not playing for 5-6 yrs.I was/am always a tailor and I cannot find a single recipe for a 100lvl item, however I keep spotting on items this: Upgrade Level: */*First can I craft anything that will let me queue for more dungeons than 1 and is that upgrade thing to change items to 100lvl

Cheers

I am mage, and i havent learn tailoring yet, when i talk to the guy ho learn you it you hit train to learn it but nothing happends for me when i hit train. Do any body know whats the problem Unfortunately in Legion, the size of the bags tailors can craft did not increase but actually deceased to 24 slots with the Сумка из шелкового полотна!

So the largest bag that can be crafted by Tailors is still the Сумка из волшебной ткани from the Warlords of Draenor expansion.

Unless you want to pay 500,000g for the unique 34 slot Багаж безумца!

can someone tell me if the abilities on silkweave cloaks change depending on the wearer if I craft one for say a mail wearer, would the cloak have say agility instead of int I raised my Tailoring skill from 1 to 300 on my mage, just so i could ride the Frosty Flying Carpet mount. It cost me over 2000 Gold to buy the mats Very Important:With Battle for Azeroth, Tailoring (and all other profession skills) have been broken down into Cataclysm Tailoring, Northrend Tailoring, Pandarian Tailoring, etc. Previously, this would mean that you just level up and get to the skill set where you can learn those patterns from a Tailor (any Tailor). Leveling up a profession at a single tailor is no longer an option. You can now level up Pandarian Tailoring without knowing a single Northrend, Outland, etc. pattern and vice versa. So! If you are looking to learn a pattern introduced in Pandaria, go to Pandaria and find a tailor there to learn it. If you are looking to learn a pattern in the Outlands, go to the Outlands and find a tailor. I think you're getting my drift.Do not, do not, for the love of all that is Holy do not level up Northrend Tailoring expecting to be given Cataclysm Tailoring when done. You will have some nice, shiny clothes or whatever, a full 75 skill in Northrend Tailoring and a bored looking trainer in Dalaran (Crystalsong Forest) and no other patterns to learn...and you'll be out a bunch of money if you've been buying all your mats from the AH instead of working with what you've collected like most of us who are trying to level a skill. :-p

Also, I'm writing this the morning after spending more time than necessary on the Inspire Me! because I had all the patterns except one...from Northrend. :sigh:

So, learn from my mistake and find out where that pattern you're looking for comes from and then to to that zone to find a tailor who can teach you that pattern. Also, I just woke up and don't really care if I've misspelled the names of stuff. Take that as you will. I just wanted to put this out there because I have yet to find *anywhere* that provides this information Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended

Happy Tailoring!

Eurogamer Interview with Alex Afrasiabi about Sylvanas
Eurogamer sat down with Alex Afrasiabi to discuss Sylvanas and the story of Battle for Azeroth.

      • Having a divided fanbase for a character is a lot more interesting than a one-sided, clearly the right direction path.
      • The goal was to create enough plausible deniability in the actions Sylvanas has committed where she can still have a fanbase.
      • Alex says that her actions are not necessarily out of character as she has been a driving force for many questionable decisions, such as the blight, over the years.
      • He refers to the Wrathgate as being under Sylvanas's orders...
      • Your choice made to back either Sylvanas or Saurfang will play out over the story and you will find out if you are right or wrong.
      • For the moment, Sylvanas seems to be too well liked to simply kill off.
      • The developerbase and Alex are all fans of Sylvanas as well and making her a raid boss would be a bit of a let down.
      • There is a lot more to Sylvanas's story that hasn't been told yet.

Forbes Interview with Ion Hazzikostas About War Mode

Forbes interviewed game director Ion Hazzokostas about the state of War Mode.

      • There is a relatively even balance of people who play Alliance or Horde.
      • Overall win rates in random battlegrounds are "shockingly even."
      • Epic battlegrounds tend to favor Alliance and the other battlegrounds skew a bit more in the Horde's favor.
      • The ratio seems of win rates is about 54% Horde and 46% Alliance, not including Rated Battlegrounds.
      • The amount of players who utilize War Mode currently skew towards Horde.
      • In Tides of Vengeance, the team is looking into offering some kind of increased rewards for the less-represented faction in War Mode, so the risk and reward are better calibrated.
      • Ion suspects that many Alliance players had bad experiences in War Mode in the beginning of the expansion and have turned off War Mode because of it.
      • The purpose of increased awards is to make up for the risk of being killed by the opposite faction, but they want to keep this on equal grounds, and their hope is that increasing the rewards of the less represented faction will encourage more people to activate War Mode when their faction is at a disadvantage.
      • Ion admits that Beserking is a bit too powerful of a racial ability for some classes and this is why it is receiving a small nerf.
      • Historically, PvP severs have always been more Horde-favored. It might have to do with player identity in the game, such as wanting to be something battle-hardened like an orc.
      • Blizzard is also keeping an eye on class and specialization appearance rates in PvP combat OblyTile Templates for Windows 8 (customize metro tiles)
